Our Story
We are a husband-and-wife team born and raised in the South, in a small town known for its sweet Georgia peaches, bright yellow Blue Bird school buses and its caring hospitality. Growing up, we were taught to say “please” and “thank you”. We were also taught that anything is possible with a little ingenuity, hard work, and planning. Deciding to break from Georgia’s strong state university tradition, we both graduated from the University of Florida. It was there that we learned to go wherever our opportunities led.
This led to a four-day journey from Georgia to California in a rental moving truck with a Honda Civic precariously in tow. Talk about persevering through adversity…driving over the Hoover Dam, at midnight while towing a car behind a moving truck that overheated just hours prior ranks right up there.
Two decades (and multiple states) later, we have both enjoyed successful careers working for some of the biggest names in healthcare and technology. The key learning that stands out most for us, is that in a world where anyone can be anything they choose - the most important thing is to be kind to others. Courtney Freeman
Courtney is co-founder and managing consultant of AZF Strategic Consulting. She specializes in executive and business coaching, organizational development and People Operations essentials for small businesses and start-ups.
As someone with a natural passion for helping people develop effective business relationships, Courtney obtained a Master of Arts in Change Management from Alliant University.
During her 20-year career with companies in the technology and healthcare sectors (including Kaiser Permanente, Hewlett-Packard, Affiliated Computer Services (ACS), and Centene Corporation), Courtney has partnered with executives across various specialties to build effective organizations with high levels of employee engagement.
Courtney is a natural problem solver, nurturer of people, and talent multiplier. She leverages data, relationships and ingenuity to develop and apply practical solutions to remove both simple and complex barriers within the workplace.
She has been an active SHRM member since 2006 and has been a certified Insights Discovery Practitioner since 2012.

Wayne Freeman
Wayne is co-founder of AZF Strategic Consulting, and serves as its Marketing consultant and technology guru. He specializes in developing strategies and campaigns to connect to and build a relationship with your clients, regardless of industry.
After leaving college with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Wayne made the decision to pursue a career evangelizing and driving demand for cutting edge technology rather than spending life behind a desk developing it. His unique set of skills has allowed him to market and manage technology products built by household names, such as Intel, Motorola, and Microchip Technology.
He brings more than 20 years of marketing experience to every client interaction; and utilizes the knowledge gained to help you discover your customers’ needs, identify your unique value, and optimize your marketing activities to ensure their satisfaction.
